Founder and Speech Pathologist Ba.App.Sc (Sp Path)

Monique has specialised in the field of autism for 12 years treating only children diagnosed with ASD. Through the diversity and volume of clients under her care she has developed an enormous wealth of knowledge and practical experience on the most effective ways to treat children with ASD, Aspergers and PDD-NOS.

Qualifications and experience

  • 12 years solely assessing and treating children with Autism Spectrum disorder, Aspergers and PDD-NOS
  • Degree in Speech Pathology from Sydney University 1995 (BAppSc)
  • Founded Connect Therapy in 2002 that has since successfully treated hundreds of children with ASD and recently became an approved autism provider for the Australian government.
  • Experienced treating children across the entire autism spectrum, from 18 months to 13 years.
  • Specialises in home and school based therapy
  • Consulting to a wide range of intervention programs including ABA, Autism Association schools, special needs and mainstream schools.
  • Author and creator of the Autism Essentials DVD Training Program
  • Certified in PECS and PROMPT
  • Trained in Son-Rise, RDI, DIR (Floortime) and a vast range of visual strategies.

Lauren has been specialising in the treatment of children with autism for 6 years and has been involved with Connect Therapy for the past 3 years. Families are always impressed by Lauren’s wealth of knowledge, her great relationship building skills with the children that she treats as well as her vast range of therapy ideas and strategies that she adapts to each and every child.
