About Monique

Through the diversity and volume of clients under her care, Monique has developed a vast wealth of knowledge and clinical experience on the most effective ways to treat children with autism.
From early days working with Giant Steps to private practice and travel to the US to study other progressive therapy programs.
For the past 9 years she has devoted her energies to growing ‘Connect Therapy’, a well-respected Sydney based program providing specialist ASD Speech and OT intervention for children as well as training for parents and other professionals.
Attendees will also receive a ‘Training Pack’ containing workshop handouts, templates and additional training materials that Monique has developed over the years, that participants will be able to takeaway and use with their clients.
Who Should Attend

›› Speech Pathologists actively working with children on the spectrum interested in or using a developmental therapy approach. If you would like to attend the Advanced Workshop we strongly recommend watching the Introductory Workshop presentation as this material will not be readdressed.
›› Other health professionals are welcome to attend with an understanding that the content is intended for speech pathologists.
The majority of Monique’s clients are functioning at a ‘developmental’ age of 0-7 years. Speech Pathologists working with older children are certainly welcome to come along. The information in this workshop will be relevant if you would like to learn more about effective therapy strategies using a developmental and relationship building treatment approach to intervention, rather than structured /directive teaching (isolated skills training).

IMPORTANT – the Advanced Workshop builds upon the information presented at the Introductory Workshop. The fundamentals of Monique’s therapy approach and topics covered in the Introductory Workshop will NOT be revisited. Therefore the Introductory Workshop is strongly recommended viewing in order to get the most benefit from the Advanced Workshop.
